be carefull
my friend is in the hospital because someone pulled out in front of him, they looked right at him and yet pulled out in front of a very big and easy to see ural sidecar set up.after being on the road 40 years i still cant believe how many people have been killed or maimed by careless drivers. summers here be carefull ,be safe.
I always drive as if everyone out there is out to get me. Green light or no. If a car is facing the roadway ahead of me I look to see if the front wheel is in motion. If so I hit the brakes. Eye contact at 4 way stops doesn't mean s**t. They'll look right at you and then run over you.

Just an additional piece of advice based on personal experience. They will try to kill you from behind as well. I was riding home from work last year and traffic slowed to a stop quite suddenly. I stopped right behind the vehicle in front of me. Just as I came to stop I heard a roar next to me. A woman following behind me in an SUV (as she told me later when I pulled up next to her and said a few choice words) stepped on the gas instead of the brake, then swerved right and went over the curb and down the shoulder. I never saw her coming. If she had not pulled off she would have crushed me into the car in front of me. Apparently it was not my day to die. Since that day I do two things at every stop - I leave enough room in front of me to move out of the way if necessary, and I watch the mirrors to make sure that vehicle behind me is in fact stopping. I strongly recommend that you each develop these same habits.
two of the things i tell people is take a motorcycle riding course ,learn to ride the right way...and remember the other people on the road really are trying to kill you.
My 71 year old Uncle, who had been riding since his teens, was killed the same way last November.
