Are you looking for training in Fla
As some of you know the law has change in Fla. If you want M/C on your license you have to go through a class. We have a lady at one of the local (Eustis, FL) schools who is stepping up to the bat so there will be a place for those of us who do the three wheel thing. I for one am going to do my part if you can that would be great.
Below is her e-mail
Richard-
As you certainly know, Florida law has just recently changed to require a class completion in order to get a motorcycle endorsement. My school has been thinking about starting to offer Trike and sidecar classes for some time, but without much demand, we have not started to officially offer it yet.
We have now begun this process with a serious push. Our first instructor training class for sidecar and Trike instructors will be held September 13-21 at our location in Eustis. After that time, we will be able to offer training on more than two wheels for licensing or advanced skill development. In order to make this first class work, we need to find some helpful sidecar owners who could be involved with us. This will be the very first class of this type in the state of Florida! Once we complete this course, we will be able to offer classes to the public for licensing.
For the instructor training week, we need to appeal to our community of sidecar riders. We need trikes and sidecar rigs to use for training the instructors that week. We have trikes, but no sidecar rigs. Can you appeal to your members to see if any of them would be willing to loan their machines for that time period? We will only be using them on a closed parking lot, for training purposes. We also will need novice riders who wish to participate in our first real class, on the final weekend of the training. If any of your members or anyone that they know would like to participate in a class to learn to ride and earn a motorcycle endorsement on more than two wheels, I would like to hear from them, also. Can you please pass this call out for me? Thanks!
