I'm a handicapped rider and am in the process of building a hack on a 2003 FLHRC-I and was wondering if anyone has put a Champion ez steer on their rig, and how much of a difference it made, and was there any problem with all of the front tins??
Thanks in advance. 🙂

I've used the Liberty 5 degree trees and it is like having power steering.
Haven't used Champions mod. but the overall effect with 5 degrees should be the same. If they use 6 degrees on the Harley (as they do on the GL's)there would be a tendency to oversteer.

thanks, Champion has a 4 1/2 degree rake, one of my other big concerns was if all of the stock tins, i.e. head light, handlebar mount cover, which also covers the wheel lock.
since the triple trees are at an angle wouldn't that throw off all the locations for mounting everything back??

In the Liberty version the steering lock is scrapped. Also the steering damper is unnecessary.

i installed a liberty tree

i had to enlarge the holes in the apron - basically you have to use a die grinder to carefully open up some of the holes and modifiy a few bits of the tins and, depending on the year some of the other parts get modified

but its nothing major
