I decided to install the steering damper kit I bought a couple of months ago ($108.00). It took me about a half an hour. I ended up using a couple of longer bolts that came with it. Works nice and smooth. I installed it because the roads around here are bad (uneven and pot holes). The rig steered very well without it, but I figured since I bought it I might as well try it out. Sunday is supposed to be warm and dry in the early afternoon so I will take it out for a test drive.

The ball and chain went with me for a ride this morning. Stopped for coffee and a few grocerys.
This was the first time she has been on a bike since her neck surgery last May. She loves the sidecar. The ride was pretty short (25 miles) but very comfortable. No complaints 🙂 She wants to go out tomorow if its not raining . The Velorex (563) car is a little hard for her to get into but nothing she can't handle.
People were asking her how she liked the ride and she smiled a lot. The only complaint she had was road dirt hitting her No winshield and she doesn't want one.Go figure.

The bike does pull a little to the right (with the extra weight in the car)so it looks like I will have to make a small lean adjustment. The tow in is set at 5/8".

I sure hope she isn't reading this forum. Glad she was able to ride --- and liked the ride. 🙂

I just got back from a test ride after doing my 'simple leanout adjustment' . It seems better . I only took a 45 - 50 mile ride down the roughest roads around here that seem to have a 8" - 12" crown . I stayed in the curb lane to check it out . I took it up on the local freeway ,runs straight at 70+ . I also installed a Memphis Shades Batwing faring on it .That took me 30 - 40 min. If only the lean out adj. took that short 🙂
I put 2 new pictures in my album showing the faring on my bike . My wife knows I call her my ball n chain . Thats a lot nicer than what she calls me once in a while . We have been married 31 years .
