It has a Bingham MkII sidecar. I'm suppose to go look at it tonight and would appreciate any information on potential problems to look for or value of this rig.

Hi;Just curious how did that rig look!Would love to get one like that. The auto sounds like would be real nice.Didn't know they made auto then thought they started in 77!Think I saw an 85 convert on Ebay. For those prices I would sell my 81 1000 cc.Bought it almost new and do like it.Had lot of transmission trouble with my 77 but this 81 been trouble free for 50Kmiles.

Let us know how you like it.
The Mark II still holds 4 World speed records for passenger sidecars but how does it ride with a Guzzi?

The owner had butchered it. We went to look at it on Wednesday night and the bike had been hacked to death. He had removed the entire instrument panel and had mounted a bike cycle speedometer, had taken the engine apart and removed 1st gear (2 speed automatic), removed the headlight and mounted a car headlight (which did not have a housing and the wires were left exposed) and to top it off he had made the sidecar mounts himself and they were permanently welded on so there was no adjustment and part of the mount ran about 1 inch above the foot brake leaving now where for your foot. The sidecar had a very visible crack down the center. I considered it a “death trap”. I didn’t even make him a offer. I was on Craigslist again on Thursday and he had dropped the price by $600.

As a Guzzi fan and a Sidecar fan that sure looks like something I should pick up and tear apart for a peroper revival. Darned shame I'm penniless.
