Has anyone got a sidecar on one of these? Seems like it would make a good bare bones combo and Honda is pushing them out the door right now..

Side-Bike a good place to start.

So far. Sidebike has been a non-starter in the US market. There are a few of them in the high performance community but they all seem to be private imports. AFAIK Sidebike has no US distribution.

Great looking rigs. Who is the manufacturer? Web site?

Should make a great sidecar bike, we have not done one yet but it looks like most if not all of our GL1800 mounts will work.

I don't know if this email and address is still valid it is from USCA archives. Money would have to be no object to persue
a private importation from France. Rennaisance Sidecars are designed for large cruiser style bikes, have a steering sidecar wheel and exceptional
dual caliper integrated braking.

Several of my HP Sidecar buds have Sidebike stuff, performance oriented not cruising. I first remember seeing them at the '92 USCA National Event, Cooks Forest, PA. Comete, Comanche etc. I would assume
their Renaissance would be of excellent quality. If you already have the $$$$$ for a new Valkyrie why not go all the way.

'Sounds like what I just said.

I agree about the style, performance and quality but the problem about where to get one remains. Who is the US dealer? Do you know what happens when you contact Sidebike direct? When I did it they simply said that they do not sell in the US period. Now I know that their sidecars are getting in and occasionally come up in the used market but a newbie should know that it is much more complex than placing an order for one on Amazon and expecting two day shipping with your Prime account.

If one was really serious, they should start by contacting someone in the HP community like Roger Symington. He might know the folks who could make that happen. You can probably find Roger through the Yellow Sidecar B&B .

My wife ran a Escort on a GL1800 rig, while it did need ballast it was a good match. It needs to be the long frame version of the Escort.

OK now you have me wondering. How do I tell if it's the long frame version? It's a 2013 and was mounted on a BMW. I have not gone to see it yet as it's 156 miles from me..

OK, I answered my own question. I called Champion and spoke to Bill. He was able to give me all the information concerning the Car I'm looking at. It's got the short frame.. Drat!
