A 96 1200 sporty runs a "w" cam set which give you good low RPM torque ,a set of SE 497's would be better for performance with a stage one ,but the W'...

What year is your sporty? I ask because of gear ratio and cams. I found over the years that a stage one upgrade does perfect increase in HP/torque.

I took my 21" front wheel off for a 19" ,more tyre choices and better tracking...for the gearing a 28 tooth front belt pulley is best. I know my 1250 ...

With a 70" wheel base ,I think your lead should be 10.5 " rule of thump is 10 to 15% of your wheel base. 🙂

It all depends on the final ratio...if you have a 32 on the front final drive going to a 30 would increase your rpm by 500...rule of thump with Harley...
