XVS1100 ( V-Star 1100 Yamaha) Hi-Power Stator
The V-Star 1100 custom and Classic models are popular bikes but they're also the lonesome stepchild of the widely popular Star line up from Yamaha and as such they tend to be short on available accessories. One popular accessory for the 1100's is a set of road/driving/passing lamps but the 1100 is a bit shy on the electrical power so choices after adding a car with extra lighting can be slim.
After pestering everyone remotely involved in Yamaha V-Stars I've located a Hi-Power Stator that replaces the stock unit as a straight bolt on and is reasonably priced. The unit adds about a hundred watts of output to the charging system at cruising speed (around 2500rpm) and costs $179.
What it provides:
At idle, output slightly below the stock stator, but at 2,500rpm cruise level, 33amps / 430watta - about 65% more than stock.
Note: Stock Stator Output: about 84 watts at idle & about 260 watts at cruising speed (~2500 rpm) (Vs. Manual saying 350 watts [24 amps] at 5000 rpm)
Take the stock stator out, put the more powerful one in, bolt it all back together and go shopping for new lights! The new wiring is all set to just plug in with no mods to the original wiring.

Hopefully this might help others that want more electrical power from their XVS1100.
