Hi, Darn, I was hoping to read good things about "Micro-Swirl Edging". (Remainder Snipped)

******************************

I tried the edging on my R100RS windshield. First off, it is probably $1/foot molded rubber edging sold for ten times that. Second, it didn't do a darned thing. I was luckier. They took mine back and refunded my money minus shipping.

I have the problem to a lessor degree (I think) on my Goldwing/Hannigan rig.

I added the Baker Wings which seem to have eliminated the issue (leaving in 10 days on a long trip, will know for sure then).

I realize they don't make them for all bikes, other than the bigger cruisers, but perhaps they could be adapted/copied for a specific bike.

good luck

I took your advise Greg and I added the Baker double Wings to 1500 tonight. We will go for a ride in the morning and see what happens.

I now have about 4500 miles using the Baker Wings, and they work really great, both for the wind and the rain. Plus, when it is hot, and going slow (traffic) I can turn then so to get more air flow.

On my 1800, I added 2 lower wings (legs wings I think they were called) and also hand wings (which attach below the mirrors). For my rig, I think the hand wings were more effective than the leg wings, although they work super in all day rain (as I found a couple weeks ago). Not sure this helps, as obviously your SC setup is probably different.

Today, I rode 745 miles (Grants Pass to LA) because Connie's mom is ill. Took 11 hours, includidng stops, running pretty fast on the interstate. No problem at all.

Pops56,
Maybe put the wings on the sidecar windshield?

If you think you would like to put wind wings on the sidecar take a look at this site http://www.speedwaytmotors.com/p/3425,316_universal-windwing-kit.htr

Thank you for your replies. Blocked some other places on the wing today. The best seems to be a bit plastic on the side of the screen. I used double sided tape. Have some new ideas looking at the wing sites.
I have posted a pic in my albums.

Same blast but not up my nose. Bike '78 R100 windjammer and Velorex 700. I guessed it to be the wedge shape of the hack and have dwelled on it some but no action yet. NASCAR uses small deflectors for aero. And in general aviation, small drag altering tabs are used to change airflow. Your small tabs are the answer, you just never got them in the right place.
Besides, if you don't like the wind and elements,, drive a car.
