Wanted, Vespa sidecar
Anybody know of one for sale??
you want used or new? Are you willing to drive for pick up or have it shipped? I assume you are talking about a vintage style, metal bodied Vespa and not one of the newer T'N'G types.
Scooter Works has them new: http://www.scooterworks.com/Sidecars_C203.cfm
Also, American Scooter Center: http://www.americanscootercenter.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&zenid=45346ea503ba05471648739ba6b983ef&keyword=sidecar
Forum Advertiser Cycle Sidecar also sells them: http://www.cyclesidecar.com/ - be sure to tell them that you want it for a scooter.
Thank You for your expanded reply, I appreciate it, I think it will end up being a new one, lets face it, there really isn't that many used Vespa mountable sidecars around, just thought I would check the forum,,,sometimes even I get lucky 🙂
Must be the latest issue of the Sidecarist with the article on scooters with sidecars...and the gas prices got some people thinking 🙂

Depends on how long you want to wait and how far you want to go - I see them from time to time on Stellaspeed.com, scoot.net and (of course) ebay and craigslist. What kind of scooter are you putting it on? You realize that a PX150/P200/Stella will have about a 45MPH top speed with a hack?
I know of two Stella/sidecar rigs for about $4000 - a good price - just in case you don't have the scooter yet.
If you want, I'll post a "sidecar wanted" ad on stellaspeed.
If you do decide to buy new, most Genuine Scooter (Stella) dealers can order and install them - though from where you are located, I'd tempted to call Lonnie in Boise.
We are planning to move to Hermiston, OR in the near-mid future. It'd be cool to have someone hack and scoot with. 🙂
The sidecar isn't for me, it's for a friend of mine that has a bakery and she wants to use it for makeing deliveries and a little fun, she's aware that because it's a 200cc 6 year old scooter that top speed is limited but in her case it's really not all that important, How quick she wants to do it I'm sure, she's busy as heck right now so when and if is in her court I just been gathering info seeing what's out there, so far she's really liking the Cozy Rocket.
I really appreciate the info you all have shared.
