Anyone seen a V-Strom sidecar mount up close? I've seen the one on the Dauntless website, but the pics don't really show the subframe. I'm planning on building a subframe for my new DL650 and would like to see a couple of examples before I design mine. Anybody got a pic?

I would also be interested in those photos as I have just put in an offer on a used 565 to mount to my 04 DL1000 and would like to see the cradle assy that Dauntless maunufactures so that I can try and have an idea of what I want it to look like when I take it in to be mounted. I would really like to get one of there cradles cause from the limited photos that I have seen it looks neat and tidy, appears to be well thought out. Unfortunately they are 3300 kms away so getting them to mount it is out of the question. Any chance I could get those photos forwarded to me, please and thank you.

Cheers

I think my DL1000 has worked out very well. A couple things i would keep in mind is that the suspension on the VStroms is pretty soft, I would plan on adding new, heavy duty springs on the front and rear. Also, I needed to change the gearing a couple times, went one smaller in front, 3 larger in the rear, in order to get adequate gearing (stock is pretty tall).

Dauntless also installed "leading legs" on mine, if you do a search I have posted pictures of them.
