Sidecar Rear Brake Combo for BMW/Ural Rigs
Does anybody know if there os a creative soul out there who has machined/manufactured a combo brake pedal to activate a BMW Oilhead rear brake in conjunction with the Ural sidecar brake? Mine seem pretty well lined up and one would think it would make sense from both an esoteric appearance perspective as well as performance wise. I have NEVER used a sidecar brake and my rig stops well but I feel I put a greater load on the rear brake in my rig then I do with my 2 wheeled bikes?

I would contact Perry Bouchong at Perry's Cycle in Fort Worth. He has installed that type of units for his customers.
cool! Thnk you. I have his triple tree and it is the single best upgrade I have ever done.

We do this sort of thing all the time. One way we often do it is to convet the sidecar over to a disk brake wheel using either a Russian wheel or a BMW wheel. We also have set them up using the stock drum brake but this does not work well with the electric tilt we install on most of the Ural sidecars we install. Much of what we are doing with Ural sidecars as well as thier brakes can be seen in the dual sport section of our web site www.dauntlessmotors.com
