Parking Light Problem

I have a '96 SE Wing with 2000 Hannigan Astro sidecar. Suddenly the parking light on the car keeps coming on with the key in the off position. I turn the key off and the light is off, but after a few moments it suddenly comes on and stays on. Everytime I turn the switch on and off, the pattern repeats itself. Does anyone know what fuse drives this light and if that fuse can be pulled without adversely affecting other functions and if this problem is most likely simply a bad ignition switch or something else? Thanks.

Randy

That sounds much more like worn cable's isolations perhaps with some (salt)water in the cable bundle!
Urgent time to check that whole system with a tester before the light machine or battery says good night!
I had it once in winter on a 18 year old bike. (often there was no spark nor light any more, but the battery got drawn empty one day yes one day not) I became nuts in reviewing every 2 days the electric system. In the end the only way to get rid of the troubles was to redo the whole cable tree. There were quite a few cable isolations worn (most beside the steering head) and many so corroded that there was no hope to reuse them.

You will wonder how much water might be captured in the main cable tree.
Best wishes
