New handlebars = easy steer
I have a Suzuki V Strom with a Ural SC. The bike has leading legs on the front forks as well as electric TILT. However, it still seemd to steer fairly heavy after 60-70 miles in the twisties.
As part of several farkles I am adding, we just completed changing out the handlebars. I got them Flanders (located 5 miles away) and got some that were both wider (2 1/2 ") and 5 inched back. Had to splice the electrics and Flanders made up longer cables.
Amazing difference. First, for me they are more comfortable since I eliminated a slight stretch to the bars I used to have.
Being wider adds significantly to the leverage, as well as having them much closer to my body for greater strength.
Heading over to northen Arizona Monday, riding up Yarnell Hill, back way into Prescott. Will get a great chance to more fully test them out.
