My master cylinder is leaking on the spyder sidecar. I can wait until Tuesday and call Motorvation but I'd like to know what other owners are doing.

Has anyone replaced the master cylinder with equipment not purchased from Motorvation?

Is there something better out there?

I'm not afraid of metal fab if there is a benefit.

thanks guys.

love the site.

So here's what I've found out so far. Motorvation used a master cylinder made by Performance Machine in California. They don't make the same model brake any more but they offered to send me the o-ring which is really a "quad ring" because it is more of an x-shape than an "O". That is a good thing because brake fluid disolves Buna which is the only quad ring I could find in the size I needed. If it winds up I have to replace the master cylinder, I'm thinking of replacing with second hand motorcycle parts that I can get parts for (seals, gaskets) or I've also seen some interesting stuff at Aircraft Spruce, so maybe sidecars have something in common with kit-planes?
