Motorvation Formula II and Trailer
My wife and I will be ordering a Motorvation Engineering Formula II for our Electra Glide Classic on Monday. We were also considering buying a trailer to haul the bike and sidecar for long trips in bad weather. Anyone know if you pull the second tire rail on a Kendon Dual Trailer you can fit an Electra Glide with a Formula II? Width of the Formula II is 39”, rough width of my bike is 31”, the Kendon max width is 84”. That gives me 14” of separation for the swing arm. Will that cut it?

It may be tight. I have two Formula II's, one with electric lean and one without. To clear the saddlebags, thee one with electric lean is set about 5 inches further from the bike than the other one would need to be. 39 inch width is for the fiberglass body only. Any trim, including the chrome latch for the bonnet extend beyond that.
I just went out and measured, the outside edge of my sidecar is exactly 59 inches from the right side of my bike's frame at the top of the swingarm, so the mounting hardware will add 20 inches if you have electric lean. I also found that in my case, if I pull the sidecar in any closer the upper rear mount will interfere with the placement of the sidecar brake master cylinder.
