The Spring P/N is 88100-94 so it appears that 1994 was the change. Reasons (probably) were:
1. Lighter weight.
2. Lower sidecar tub about 1-1/2".
3. Lower cost.
4. Lower cost.
5. Lower cost.
and.....
6. Lower cost. 🙂
