I had 8,298 miles on my bike and the rear tire was pretty much a drag slick down the center, my local bike shop guy had suggested that I could probably get 5 times, or better mileage if I switched to an automotive tire. When bike tires are running up into the $200 + range around here then they tack on 2 hours labor, so it is rare to leave the average shop with anything less than a $450-500 bill. Joe of Madness MC, did mine for $170 including the tire. So I am very happy, even better, we didn't have to do any tweaking on the hack, since the height wasn't changed. So I'm pretty much set for at least the next year.
