EZS front wheel bearing problem
I have a 1992 BMW K100RS with complete EZS kit.
The L/L front end has a 14" steel rim with bolted in al. hub (8 pieces) with pressed in wheel bearings. One of the bearings has started working and is no longer a press fit in the hub.
No part numbers on parts other than rim & bearings.
While the wheel looks to be well made (heavy too) the bearings look to be a little under sized for the job. As a reference point the bearings in the stock "K" front wheel are larger.
Has anyone seen this before; any repair ideals; any new/used parts available (side car salvage)

the ball bearings never should have a heavy press fit, but a slight slip fit or transition fit.
If the fit is too sloppy ("throw through fit" or "nest") use bearing Locktite #640 (red or ¿green? colour)
Just take care not to use the extremely strong stuff then you will need a torch for to dismantle later.
My favourite bearing brand are SKF bearings.
For assembly I use Zink paste Chesterton 785 and have never trouble with sticky or sloppy or rusted parts.
Good luck

From the replies on this site and others looks like the "Green" loctite will be used to secure beaing race. Several people recommended using it.
Thanks for everyones time and input.

Take care Locktite #275 (or 271?) is green too and is that nasty that you will need a acetylen torch for to pull out later!!!!!!
From what I know?
21 years ago a match sorting machine I had to change the drive chains. 800 out of 1200 screws were hold in place by green #275 (or 271?) Locktite.
only the rest by #242 the blue one.
There was no way to use the torch because of involved rubberparts.
Result.
The screw heads broke and I had to drill and tap all thrads new.....
SOS. some fools don't care about the next guy who has to do maintenance.
So remember at buying. The one for bearings is Locktite #640 !!!!
