Will a 2002 Harley sidecar bolt up to a 1991 FLT tour glide?
Thanks

page 2-48 manual pn99485-07

1989-2004 non ultra motorcycle - 1999-2007 tle [non ultra] sidecar

87166-93 connection kit for 1989-1996 motorcycles
87776-98A brake line
70221-99 light harness
88115-03 bank angle sensor switch kit
87165-02 stand off front

notes 26, 24, 25, 27, 28-31

26 for 1989 -1996 if original kit [87-166-93 is complete you must purchase items 41-60 from sheet j01350 from 87166-99 & follow instructions on sheet -j01350

24 conn kit 87166-99b has mechanical parts similar to 87166-93

25 not applicable to a 91 bike

27 88115-03 not needed on bike older than 99

28 87165-02 is REQUIRED [ie you will never get toe in right without it ...]

31 if the sidecar had dot 4 fluid in it - flush with 10 oz of dot 5 to clear it out

or just read the various threads and PURCHASE THE SIDECAR MANUAL THAT IS AS NEW OR NEWER THAN EITHER THE BIKE OR SIDECAR. you simply cannot do the installation properly without it - ie you would never know that you cant get the toe in to work without 87165-02 unless you either got it from somebody reading the manual or looked it up yourself. its really important for your safety to have that manual when installing a sidecar unless the sidecar was ordered for the vin bike you have new in the crate.

Great info!

The only thing I wonder about is whether you could use the 88115-03 Bank Angle Sensor kit. The 1991 TSSM probably won't support it. Don't mean to nitpick. LOL

if you look at the notes

one is that you dont need the bank angle sensor

i tried to type it all in there verbatum to get across the level of detail and get across WHY folks need to read the fine manual
