Hello, I am new to this site and also sidecars in general. My question is this: is there any sidecars that are made (or where made) to work with a 1980 Kawasaki KZ1300? Also what would the best sidecar company to consider? Thanks in advance for everyones time.

I had a Vetter Terraplane sidecar attached to a 1980 KZ1300 in the 80's. From what I remember the KZ had a pretty good accessible frame for sidecar use, and of course plenty of power. That 6.5 gallon gas tank was good top.
The Terraplane only used three attachment points, put I still pulled a camp trailer with it. The hitch was attached to the inside rail of the sidecar frame.
I only have two photo's left of this rig:

Guys this bike is awesome. And 'much faster than it looks and sounds like nothing I've ever heard with a six cylinder!

My sidecar was on a kz1300 before I got it. I bought it from a guy on cape cod Ma. he had a friendship 1 sidecar with a universal mounting kit.

You want to make sure you go with a strong and fairly heavy sidecar. We do not have a mounting kit for this bike however we may have NOS vetter mounts which would at least give you the two lower mounts. As to new sidecars, Our Kenna is the least expensive sidecar we have for your bike. We are a dealer for about 30 different sidecars and make 7 models in house.
