So I finally went and got a sidehack. Still in the process of hooking it up and setting everything where it need to be. WHAT A JOB!!!

So, If I can ever get this thing hooked up, I am looking for people to meet up with around my area.

I also just picked up a sidecar for my F650. Waiting for the correct parts from Dauntless to install it. BTW: I am just south of Hartford.

I'm near Simsbury, CT and have a number of years of Russian rigs under my belt. Just bought a sidecar to put on my Harley. There have been a number of Ural rigs sold out of Canton Cycle in Winsted, CT. There are more and more rigs popping up in CT. Maybe time for a 'sidecar party' somewhere? Hal

Hey, been a while since I have checked the site out. Hooked up my sidehack a couple months ago. I have logged on about 6500 miles!!
Rides Great!! Kids love it!
So I do think that we need to get a sidecar party together also.
Even if it is just a few rigs in someones yard.

Hey Hal,
Just logged on today and seen the post. Dont get on this thing to much......to busy riding!!! I have also noticed a few rigs riding around. Maybe time for a sidecar party somewhere? Sounded like a great idea to me! Meet up somewhere in the morning, go for a ride, finish it with a party. I go anywhere. I have been some places I should have not!
Take it easy, Talk with you soon?
Randy

I just installed my hack and its ready to roll. If you do put a party, I could use some pointers/lessons.

O.k.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I do not have any free weekends until October 18th. That would be my first free weekend. I hope we can get something together that quick. I know its getting "cold" and not everyone rides year round, so we better get this rolling if we want it. Like I have said, I will travel since it seems like I am the one furthest away. And we can meet up, go for a ride and maybe have a "party" at someones house. Mine is always open, and I live right next to Mohegan Sun Casino.
If you guys are interested, you can email me at redunderdog78@yahoo.com
Until then enjoy the ride and be careful!!! Randy

unable to make it Oct 17-18-19
I rode all last winter, 15 degrees a bit much..but it was a mild winter
this year promises to be alittle more harsh, we'll see...
If we can not pull together now, there is no reason we can not plan for next spring!

Greetings from Bellmore (Long Island),NY. I've been hacking it with a 2 seater Hannigan attached to GL1500 since 1999. Would also be interested in attending a "Sidecarist" party. By the way, I noticed many of you are relatively new to sidecars. I'm a certified S/TEP Instructor and would be willing to conduct a S/TEP program if you folks would be interested. I can also be contacted direct by e mail at Hwymedic@aol.com Other then 10/18 I would be very interested in a sidecar gathering. Ric Remz

Hwymedic I would be very interest on taking one of your side car courses. Maybe something can be set up via this forum. I'm sure others here in the Northeast would be interested as well.

I would be happy to conduct a training course. It involves a 2 day commitment and I'm limited to 6 students. We can discuss it further when we meet at the sidecarist gathering. Ric Remz

Can you post some specifics? Like, do we provide our own rigs? Cost for coursework? Where?

This would be an "Advanced" S/TEP course, which is done with your own rig and consists of 8 1/2 hours of instruction both classroom and range work. I say 2 days because doing it all in one, plus travel, makes for a very long day. So we would conduct the classroom portion either the afternoon or evening before the range portion. A large unobstructed parking lot and a classroom would be needed. As for "costs", that would depend on what costs would be incured. I would be willing to teach for whatever my costs and expenses would come to. Ric Remz
