Sidecar Rally in the middle of the US?

Looking through the notes I find nothing close to where I live, tulsa, OK. Are there ever events within reasonable driving distance for a working guy like me. You know, like Texas, Kansas, Kentucky, Arkansas.

Been riding since I was 12 so that is close to 50 years, been with a sidecar since back in the mid 60s when I had a cushman Eagle with a sidecar. Hauled my newspapers in it so I could deliver my route.

But, any information about a more "local" rally would be nice.
Thanks, Larry

Larry, you missed Sidecars in The Flint Hills. It's held in Council Grove Kansas. This year it was the weekend before Labor Day and it was a popular date so I think that's going to be our date for 2010. Watch for the list of rallies when it gets posted in the spring. This was year 6 so it's been happening for a while.

Never done a rally before. Was parade marshal for about 10 years for LARGE Military Parade in McAlester, OK. Sure my experience as an MP officer had something to do with that. help? Guess it would all boil down to when the rally was, and what I would be expected to do. I am retired from the Army, but I now work fulltime for the Dept. of VA so I would have to do some juggling. I have ridden to Eureka Springs several times so I am familiar with the area. There is some beautiful riding there. Do your checking and let's get back together. Emails are sometimes more friendly so here's mine that I use. william.odaniel@gmail.com; william.odaniel@us.army.mil; william.o'daniel@cox.net All of those are good emails and I check them on a pretty regular occasion. Seems more now that I have started looking at the sidecar site.

is he planning a rally anytime soon? What time of year does he plan his? So far I have many more questions than answers or thoughts. I probably need to put together a list of questions, thoughts, get a calendar or two to see what is out there and go from there. Don't want to plan one on someone else's weekend. Let me get my list together and see if I want to attempt this. Eureka Springs is not exactly in my backyard so it will take some planning on my part.
I will get back to you.

I'm in Lawrence, KS and am (hopefully!) picking up my first sidecar rig this weekend so count me in for any rallies in this area!

hey Joyce, that sound great although it conflicts with the motoGP in indy, which I had loose plans to attend. Maybe in my post-GS world I'll need to reconsider travel range 🙂

Hi. This will be 3rd year for Uncertan? rally. Last year we lived through a flood. Cafe had 3 feet of water so Lee did a cook-out. Come on down. Council grove is on its (correct me,Joyce) 6th year. Always a fun rally. Enjoy both. Dasy ride for you. J.R.
