What are the coolest/strangest experiences you've had while out exploring with your rig?

Ok, not really strange or funny. I seem to run into random Bicyclists on my remote wanderings.. Far more hardy than is guy.. On my trip to Tuk. 2018 they had just completed the last section of road 130 kilometres or so.. It was not so great as some of the early riders found out.. I waited more because of work to get the time off. Still I got got weather in Late August but for the most part the road was pretty good. The Day I rode from Inuvik to Tuk was a clear 0 c degree day but it had rained heavily the day before so parts of the road were soupy mud 2 to 3 inches deep. Somewhere about 50 K south of Tuk I run across Β the Japanese Guy on his bicycle. Fully loaded and working his way south.. He looks cold and miserable. Only slightly more than me. I stop to inquire. He gives me the thumbs up and gestures " No English " I take off and laugh at his tracks in the mud. He was struggling to make a straight line..He was never going to make Inuvik that day at the pace he was going. Β Much more a hardy bunch than this guy. Β
The other time was I was exploring North of Fernie. The Bull River area and pretty remote.. 100K from any sort of civilization.. As I trundle along marvelling at how far they punch logging roads into our remote mountains I see a bicyclist coming toward me.. Some young gal, loaded with gear and peddling her pretty butt the other way.. Big Smile and a wave and thumbs up.. I smile to my self thinking how easy my mode of transportation is and how tough some others are. She was working for her KsΒ
