Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes...
We have space for two more bikes in a 20 ft container from Houston to either Peru or Chile next fall. We have not finalized which destination port yet, but you can have a say in where. We have two bikes going and have room for two more.
Shipping by container is a more secure way to go. I know, I container shipped my bike to Chile with three others in 2010 with no problems. The lock we placed on the container in the US was still undisturbed at the port in Chile.
Since I live in NW Houston, can coordinate the storing and loading of the container the month prior to departure.
Cost? That depends on the final number of bikes. Whatever the final cost is, we will divide the cost of the container among those going. (Roughly figure $2500 per bike. Firmer numbers will be gotten closer to departure).
Talk to your best bud and start planning your trip to South America now. Once the space is filled, that's it.
