Just a reminder that the pre registration for the National rally in Vermont ends the 1st of June AFTER June 1st the cost is $5. more per person.

USCA Members pre reg $30. after June 1st $35.

Non members pre reg $40. After June 1st $45.

As it is there are a fair amount of our Neighboring Canadian sidecarist attending this year, also we have a pre registration all the way from Australia! Jim Bryant from China plans to attend and we have an inquire from a Sidecar club from China, that plans to fly their sidecar rigs here and tour the US and is considering attending the Vermont National!!

There will be scenic rides to go on through the Vermont country side, on Friday we will be going to Ben and Jerrys ice cream plant for a tour for anyone that may want to go. Saturday morning there will be a tech session conducted by Claude Stanley of SCT fame and owner of the CSM sidecar shop. also on saturday there wil be a motorcycle sidecar show later saturday the Sidecar games will be held then Saturday evening dinner. Plenty of places and shops to visit.

And as always,Trikes and solo bikes are more than welcome to! 😀

Just a reminder...

Only a few days left for pre registration for the 2010 National sidecar rally in Essex Vermont.

Although I don't believe that Jim Bryant will be able to make it due to the accident and considering he will be operated on today we wish him all the best and hope for a full and speedy recovery!

There will be self guided rides to different area attractions one being on friday to Ben and Jerrys ice cream plant there is a small fee for it, I believe 3-4 dollars per person there are kids and senior discountsSaturday morning there will be a tech session conducted by Claude Stanley of ISOK fame in regards to any questions about sidecars, installing, handling, riding etc. later saturday morning there will be a peoples choice motorcycle/sidecar show.there are some people attending the rally to vend items some being sidecars one is coming from florida with jewelery and related items, Jim Bryant was planing to attend but was involved in a accident in Beijeng China he did plan to have on display his retro fitted BMW powered motorcycle/sidecar rigs that he offers for sale,I sent him a message this morning to see if he was still considering attending as of yet I have not recieved a reply back. And saturday night there is a dinner included with the cost of the registration. As of today we have 114 people pre registered with more planing to attend some coming as far as California,Colorado.Missouri,Kansas,Texas,Michigan Indiana and Ohio from the west, and Florida,North and South Carolina,Alabama,Virginia on up to the New England states. There are about 7 of our neighbors to the North attending one couple coming from Thunder Bay OntarioOn the international side there is a person attending from Australia possiably a couple from England and at this point Jim Bryant from China is still in questionfor me it will be old home week I plan to be there on Tuesday evening coming from Western New YorkAnd yes camping is an additional cost

thanks for the reply.

sounds like a lot of fun. i would like to meet some side car peaple.

can i make the rally payment when i get there.

i am trying to decide weather to ride there and stay in a hotel or take the rv and trailer.

im a fair weather biker and the dogs have not been on any real long rides.

are there many peaple camping at the fair grounds or is there another favorite hangout.

sorry for all of the questions im just trying to paint a picture in my mind of the event. i still have to convince the wife to go.

If you want to be surrounded by like minded people in the world of sidecars then Vermont in July is the place to be.

As for registering when you arrive that's not a problem many people do it to fit their plans or time schedule if you go to the home page you will see a button at the top that says rally 2010 click on it and there is a list of motels in the area or bring the rv I know that a fair amount are planing to do the same, as for our four legged friends CRV rules mandate that they be on a leash at all times and that their owners remove any "by products" that may be generated on the spot shall we say 😉 .

The majority stay at the camp grounds but others prefer a motel or their RV so it is up to the person that wants to attend where they prefer to spend the night

Hope to see you there

Bonjour Chuck,
Sometime life throws you a curve ball. I just found out my children's one and only soccer tournament is on the 10th of July.
I see the rally starts on the 8th...do you expect/plan much activity on the 8th+9th? I'm thinking of coming down for the Thurs-Fri and leaving bright and early Sat (or late Fri)...is there much happenning on Friday the 9th?

I figure I can bring the kids for an overnight (Thurs) campout, surrounded by wild men on three wheeled motorcycles, and then have a relaxing ride home Fri PM. In bed in time to be in shape for the games on Sat.
You are right...family does comes first! Doesn't mean we can't ride.
Trying to do it all.
