There is a use for low oven pipes
Topic starter
Last year when I bought Sophie from Jim Pettiti at Racewayservices in Salem I bought right away a high pipe for off road riding from next year on...Until 25 or 30.000km I plan to use the stock oven pipes of the Ural Patrol... Until now they were only good for to get scretches at any small stone or ditch.
Yesterday I found out that the oven pipes have one useful purpose!
A depth limiter for not to sink too deep into soft soil!
The rainy season is at its worst, on the normally stone hard clay in one part of our farm there was only one direction left...downwards...until the rig settled on the oven pipes.
Even with 2wd it costed quite some spinning to get out onto semisolid ground.
