My wife and I took the course at Fla. MC Training & Sales last weekend. I was considering going out West for a class until I heard about the FL session.
Angie Washo and her crew of instructors did a terrific job. They are attentive and helpful and really know the material. It was a co-operative approach and focused on each student's individual needs. My wife was nervous about the whole thing going in and a bad experience would have had a negative impact on motorcycling for both of us. As it happened she scored higher then I did. You should have seen the grin when she got the sidecar wheel in the air!
This was the first class ever offered in FL and two chief instructors were evaluating Angie's team who they had been training all week. We had the advantage of a great depth of experience. We brought our own rig (2007 Ural Patrol) and the school has one. Sarah and I were the only sidecar students in a class of 9. The rest were trike riders. But the material covered worked well for both groups and we got specific attention as needed.
This training has given us an understanding of the mechanics of managing the rig and some good habits to build on as we keep practicing. We also came away with a lot of practical survival skills and an awareness of what to look for in the real world to ride safe.
I think this training would make as much sense for more experienced self taught folks as it does for brand new riders like us

We celebrated Tues. after we picked up our new FL licenses by riding along the East side of the St. John's river near Palatka. Oliver the dog is already comfortable in the hack.

What a great way to Travel!

The School is :

Ernie

That is good to hear and being one of those โ€œself taught folksโ€ I will be looking forward to the one day training. I know I have a few bad habits. He he.

There is a school down in Miami that is doing some by appointment only training.
