Hi all,
I'm a newbie on this site. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction, as to where I can get info on improving the handling/steering of my 02' 600cc Silverwing scooter/Texas sidecar. I'm planing on going to the "Dark side", by putting on Sumitomo auto tires. (Folks on the Silver Wing forum are reporting 30k miles.) I'd appreciate any helpful comments from you more experienced sidecar wizards. .... The scooter/sidecar performs adequately around town, and on the freeway, but can get a little scary in the twisties. Due to having a stroke I'm now driving three wheelers. I also drive a Can Am Spyder 990cc, and a Piaggio MP3, 400cc. I previously drove a Gold Wing with a side hack.

Thanks in advance.
Bob

I am not that experienced but drive a TGB R9 with a Cozy sidecar from Scooterworks. Have had little trouble with the rig
on the roads I ride and since I am in the NGA mountains I deal with a lot of curves. I am planning on putting on a stearing
damper. You might want to consider this approach. A great many, so I have noticed, use dampers to reduce the 'wobbles'
you might encounter. Research stearing dampers for more indo.

On the silverwing we modify the stock triple tree moving the front wheel forward. You send us your tree, we make the changes and send it back.
Also on Texas sidecars as they do not think brakes are important. We have added brakes to the Texas sidecars, you must send us your swing arm, you will also have to change the bolt pattern on the wheel to match what we build.
