The Sidecars Of New England group (SCoNE) http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/SCofNE/ will be inviting a special guest to our monthly brunch this coming Sunday.
Then we're off to ride on a frozen lake!
Dave Odess from the "Ride for Kids" Foundation will be visiting us for the second year. We had a small turnout last year when Dave Odess visited, but that small turnout snowballed into a sizable amount of other folks donating to the Ride for Kids cause (Pediatric Brain Tumors) I heard we were the 6th largest donating group among Motorcycle groups in the New England area!!!
Please check & mark your calendar for 11am THIS Sunday. 3/13/05 . Meet other Sidecar owners & enthusiasts that live & ride in the New England area. Have a bite to eat & meet Dave Odess. He’s doing a bang up job of helping out kids with Brain Cancer.
We meet for brunch at Joey’s Diner. 1 Craftsman Ln Amherst, NH. 3 miles off exit 8 of the F.E.Everett Hwy (Nashua, NH. RT 3) Come hungry & order your Breakfast or Lunch. Joey’s prices are kind & the décor is unique.
NO Donations will be asked of you at this event!!! It’s just Dave chatting with us about the Ride that will be held this Summer. If you choose to ride on that ride this summer, there will be a $35- (or so) donation asked at that time.
-->SIDECAR OWNERS<-- are specifically asked to come because this summer there will be children there at that ride who would LOVE to ride on a Motorcycle OR in a Sidecar. (Some special needs kids require the safety of a Sidecar)
So PLEASE, give good thought to coming & applauding Dave for what he’s been doing. The Ride for Kids folks have paid the “Back room fee” at Joey’s Diner so we can have a quieter area of the Diner to meet in.
ALSO, Be sure to come with your Sidecar rig if the temperature, distance, & the weather are kind. We will be doing a ride “on the Ice” of Round Pond where Ice Motocross Motorcycles keep the pond cleared for motorcycle use. Last month we did it & had a blast!!!
I really think you’ll enjoy yourself if you come.
