sidecar question
Hi Chris,
So what if not many (or any) ride sidecars? You'll be showing your individuality and you'll be the one on the leading edge of the new fad!! And all the girls will want to ride with you!
Well, I'm not like that, I don't really have any guts to do it. I'm just riding one because it's kinda comfortable to me. I was just kinda worried if others make fun of me while riding during the college life. That's what I'm worried about.
anyone got msn address? We can chat in msn messenger, there's no chatting system in this forum
Just the opposite, you will be the star of the college if you show up with a sidecar. Chicks DIG sidecars!!! ITs the ultimate way to pick up girls. You'll be a HUGE hit if you ride a sidecar on campus.
Iām really sorry but this is like off-topic of what we were talking about. Iām looking for engineering related courses university or university with racing club activities. (like motor clubs). Do you know any of those?

So... people like 19~22 (college students), they don't really ride sidecars? I'm not talking about racing, just in the streets.
Back when i was a college/uni student in the late '80s, I loved the idea of a sidecar. I sketched them when i should have been paying attention to the lectures.. I just couldn't afford anything resembling one on a starving student budget.
Honestly, i don't think sidecar/motorsport related things come on the radar as an area of importance for most students, it is kind of edged out by more important things like partying and studying, in order of importance. If there is an interest in motorcycles, it isn't in motorcycle/sidecars.. any interest at all will be in the Supersports (at least in North America).
Higher education lasts all of four years for undergrad, then it's done.. you might need to look outside of the student environment for a shared passion.. the advantage of now, is that the Internet is the great connector for many varied interests.. In my day, Arpanet was just turning into the Internet.
In other words, I don't know of any student org's that cater to this or any similar niche sport..
no no that's not it I found some of the universities with motor clubs such as kettering university, clemson university, Virginia tech, pennsylvania tech... etc. I couldn't go here because they were far away from my hometown T_T

Never, ever, ever, worry about people "making fun of you"!In fact, take it as flattery and learn to live in the spotlight when it shines your way. Do alot of this......and you'll be a hero (bmoc). And like someone else said, chicks dig sidecars!I just realized you are female. The "chicks dig sidecars" still applies but your not gonna be the "bmoc".
I thought Chris was a guy. Help us out here, Chris. Not that it matters to the bike, just curious at all.
Seriosulyl, I'm a guy.. I don't any chiks to dig me in just because I'm trying to ride BMW sidecar...... I just wanna ride it for fun';/// I'll say this again, I'm Chris, a guy., T_T
I've seen a couple of Vespa sidecar rigs around the TCU and SMU campuses. I would think with the resurgence of the scooter culture you would see a lot of scoots with sidecars around campuses.
