Side engine, for sure. Now you know where the last running Harley 45" engine went. If I were doing something like that, I'd choose a larger engine. The builder did it that way so that he could adjust the carburetor and timing as he drives down the road. Nice.

I know I would sure like to get up close and personal with that rig, got a lot of questions that need answering.

A nice go-kart.
....
as kids we took a pedal driven go-kart, mounted a grass-mover engine via a chain saw clutch and a reduction angle gear box of an ancient corn degrainer.
But this thing is obviously much nicer and will not be reached by the local cop. Us he didn't catch neither because he was too slow with his bike on the pasture. But anyhow father's belt left its mark on the butt.... for riding on the road.
