Well I couldn't very well have the sidecar slowing me down now ... could I? So yes, it is true ... I have a 250 HP tug for the sidecar. As a great philosopher once said, "Just do it."
I'm embarrassed to say that I can barely hang on when I gun it, and I have never actually gone 100% throttle; yet. I start giving it a little gas and I very quickly lose my nerve (as the scenery in my side vision begins to blue shift and I experience time more slowly than those back on earth).
Oh yes, and I did another 15 or so miles today in the rig. Today was much much easier than yesterday. I still have to pull hard, but I'm not surprised by it at all. Its getting more intuitive, but is still far from natural.
I'm betting a week of riding will make a huge difference.
i resisted a raked tree for quite a while
then i did it - il NEVER ride one without a raked tree again.
the more power, the faster you are going, the more it weighs the more the raked tree matters.
in the past both HD and BMW had front ends that had settings for bike or sidecar - now its basically one or the other.
the other thing i found over time is that you really can get the sidecar off the bike in 10 mins and go riding - but to get it back on and aligned properly again - takes a whole day.
that and my ankle issues [broke a leg when i was a kid.. and its not always "there" now] i dont intend to ever have a two wheeler, unless i get a boat load of cash and get a light bar hopper... the side car bike is specialized, car tire, raked tree, lowered, etc.
