Shinko is associated with Yokohama Japan and manufactured in South Korea. Price is extremely favorable. It's a question of wear. Experience...?

[20-30 years ago did we ever think we'd be looking to Taiwan and South Korea for quality?]

I'll check what brand is the last dirt I had on the back...2500km and flat...for 15$ less then normal is a robbery.
Even Brasilian tires make better milage.
What brand not to buy i will tell later when I'll have passed by my mashine shop for recheck.

I just took off a 705 from the front of my DL-1000 V-Strom Hannigan outfit. It still had some life in it but we leave this week for the Idaho rally and I wanted fresh rubber on the front. I had nearly 7000 miles on the tire, more than the last 2 Michelin Anakee's were able to go. They barely made 5000 each.

I bought 2 of the 705's at the time because it cost about the same as one Anakee, so figured what he heck, might as well get a pair. One thing about this tire though, toward the end of the one I just took off the cupping was so bad that at low speed it felt as I was driving over a cattle guard. On the highway it just made a howl and some vibration. The Anakee's did this too, but not as bad. For the most part I am happy with the tire and the life. I do some gravel and dirt but mostly highway.
