:o:( Please see below about the passing of one of the greatest sidecarist there has been. We have known Dan for at least 20 years and will miss him. He would take us to the boys camp for show and tell for many years. We also rode many miles with him as well as did a lot of camera work with him and Doug Bingham of Side Strider. For those of you that did not know him, you missed out on knowing a very good soul.

It is my sad duty to inform you that my father passed away today just before noon.

Some final thoughts that my father wanted to share - "I hope that you are not spending too much time with the issues of what I should have done, and how I might have lived longer if I had taken better care of myself. What's done is done. Compared to most, I had a great life. None of us will last forever, and whether we go early or late is as much a matter of chance as anything else. Plenty of folks are taken at a much younger age than I was. I enjoyed myself every day of my life and had no regrets. Marlene and I had a lot of years together, enjoyed some great times, and raised a terrific daughter. I have loved Marlene all of our lives together, and if there is anything to the notion of a hereafter, I am still loving her. That will never change. And perhaps someday we will be together again."

I hope you all remember him with happiness and good memories as he did you.

We will be having a "get-together" sometime in July - I'll let you know when it is scheduled.

Please forward this on to anyone who would like to know that he is gone.

Thank you from my mom, myself, and the rest of my family for your friendship.

-jennifer
