There is an old axiom pertaining to bikers, "there are a lot of old bikers and a lot of bold bikers, but few that are old, bold bikers!"
I ran across this link on on another bike forum for VTX riders, I think it bears repeating for any of us that ride.

The true telling comes from seeing the vehicle passing by on the left without the cyclist.
