Just received a 2003 Harley TLE that was attached to a 2002 Road King. Hoping to rehab it and fit it to my lowered 2006 Road King. First need repairs, a small hole in the fiberglass in the seat area, repaint (loved FuzzyBeards paint job), new windscreen, and help attaching to my RK.

Like many, I've purchased the sidecar for my beloved black Goldendoodle, all 78 lbs of her.

Can anyone point me to local resources in the Phoenix area? Any advice is most welcome. Georgiegirl's photo attached.

And that's your sidecar ballast?
How does she stand the heat in the fur coat?

Yes, she's my ballast. We will ride early, head North to the high country and stay well hydrated. Also, I clip my fur child's hair shorter in the warm weather. Thanks for commenting.

Excellent!! My Petey is also a black Goldendoodle. The shelter I got him from a few years ago said he was a Labradoodle but DNA breed test said otherwise. Doesn't matter. He's my good riding buddy!! He loves to ride. Now to get the bike to run again. It crapped out on us this morning, a neighbor towed us back home and I've worked on it all day. Thought I had it fixed and running. Got ready to leave again and now it won't start. I'm stymied. Petey? He just went back to being Digger Dog.

Petey could be the twin of Georgie Girl! Did Petey take to the hack easily? Any tips?

Thank you!

He loves to ride and the sidecar is his favorite space. But it took some learning for both of us early on. Both my other sidecar pups liked to ride with no windshield on the sidecar so they could hold their heads out over the hood. But the wore the Doggles. Archie willingly and as if he'd been born in them, Henry with some training and insistence by me if he was going to ride, that was the only way. Petey resisted the Doggles but is very willing to ride with the windshield in place. So that being the case, I don't insist he wear goggles because the windshield is his eye protection. Archie rode with me unrestrained for lots of years. Henry never could. Petey never will even though he's a far, far calmer boy now than when I first got him out of the shelter. And he's fine with that. There is a link to a video H-D made of Archie and me on Liberty sidecars home page. It's from 2009 as I recall. In the August Sidecarist there are more photos of Petey when we went to the Bigfoot Rendezvous last year. No tips or advice really. Just be your own guru and do what makes sense to you... And enjoy the adventure!!
