New Member/Sidecarist Looking for Training

Greetings from NJ. Just purchased my first sidecar rig after riding
for 20 years. Rig is a 78 BMW R100S with Dnepr sidecar, beatiful
setup built by Perry's sidecars in Ft. Worth TX. Bike is currently
at a fellow "Fossils" members home getting the motor seals replaced,
carbs rebuilt, and some odds and ends cleaned up. Read up on one of
the websites about "Riding a Sidecar Rig", read some other tips
about turning and braking, now just waiting to get my machine back to
start rode training on my dead end court or parking lot nearby. Was
wondering if anybody knows of a Beginners Basic Sidecar Riding class
in the NJ area. I've been to the esc.org and adventuresidecar.com
sites but the training seems far away. Would like to take a
beginners class to get properly trained on riding these beasts.
Unless there is a fellow sidecarist near Manahawkin NJ that would be
willing to train me?

Appreciate any advice or help!

Thanx.

Keith

I think Ironstone is the closest to you but check the ESC national listings:

It gets expensive I know, but an option might be to combine a vacation and training. You could fly out to Portland and rent a car, come to Hood River( a sixty minute drive)spend a weekend taking a sidecar class and tour the North west in your rental car for the remainder of the vacation.
