Happy days are ahead !! Beauty looking CJ . Mine is just all military green. Is that a Jack Russel?

I wish I owned that Defender in the background. I've always wanted one of them.

Nothing wrong with military green. I wanted to get a desert sand one to match the road dust which will end up all over it, but it would have looked a bit odd next to the bike. I'm considerering getting a complete combo in desert sand.

That is indeed a Jack Russell, her name is Incontinentia.

That will look very nice ! My goal/dream is to get an early 80's R100 matched up with one like that someday, too !

It's been my dream for a long time, but it's been more trouble than I thought it would be.
The bike has only done 7000 miles, 2000 of those miles were just from riding it home from PA. I got it home and discovered that all of the rubber had perished, I had to replace the seals and the tyres, which basically meant pulling the bike to pieces. BMW parts are expensive. Hopefully it will now be good for another 32 years

Yes I'm web searching regularly. I'm getting no work done!
I'm going to the local Ural dealer to see what they are like. I like the look but am a little shy of the reputation for quality and lack of oomph for the freeway.

Have you considered a CJ fitted with a BMW engine ? Knowing what I now know I would say this is probably the easiest route to take.have a look at these websites......... www.bmwsidecar.com/ www.cjsidecar.com/
