My new rig
I just posted a photo of my new Liberty as it sits on Pete's floor waiting for me to come get it next week. I'm like a little kid at Christmas with anticipation. The bike is in a bit of a transition right now and I've got a ways to go to get it like I want it. I've owned this bike since it was new. Now it will be new all over again.
Man that looks good Tom! Did you have him do the triple tree mod? Thanks,
Man that’s a cool lookin ride, wished I new about the Liberty before committing to the TLE, very cool look!
Yep, had the triple tree changed. Only thing it doesn't have is reverse. And I still need to do some cosmetic stuff to the bike where I removed the tour pack. But it's gettin' there and I'm lovin' it.
Tom,
The sidecar Looks real sharp matched to the bike.
I just sold a 60's HD car and still regreting it but I have to admit it went to a really good home and after some paint work to match the new owners bike he will have quite a stand out rig like yours.
Tom, you mentioned not having reverse, how important do you think it will be not having it, I’ve heard it’s not that big a deal. Also it looks like the rake mod sets the front fender a little out if level, yes or no? any other changes to the fairing or inner fairing/dash etc. using the rake mod and also did you do the rake mod your self? I also can’t make out what kind of wind screen you have there? Hope I aint bein to nosy…. Oh yea, what’s the weather like way up there?
Have a nice turkey day!!
Great rig Tom !!!!!!!!!!
Happy thanksgiving and Merry Xmas.
I have a 87 heritage softail with a Liberty classic and love it (Posted on claudes FRappr site).
Pete builds a great sidecar!!!! My sidecar is the eight one he built in the classic model!! 53000 miles later it rides like a dream.
With the rakes tree you will be able to move yur rig around with ease. You don't need reverse. save the $$$ and enjoy it on something else.
ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Lenny. I've got over 84K on the bike as a solo. Hope to put that many more on it as a rig. If I'd kept riding it the last few years as much as before it would have well over 100K on the clock. Got some more stuff to do the bike but a reverse isn't real high on the list of priorities. If it moves as easily as you sound like it will, that will drop clear off the list....
Have a most joyous and happy Thanksgiving!

Hi LDuck. I don't think it (reverse) will be important at all. As far as the rest of your questions I don't know, haven't seen any more of it than you have. The picture is all until next Wednesday. The weather here? Cold and foggy. Supposed to change beginning tomorrow but it's been this way for too long now. Gonna start snowing in the next few days, I guess...
