I just wanted to share a story with what seems to be quite a bit of enthusiasts of motorcycle sidecars. I met Roy 6 or 7 years ago when purchased a house down the block from him. He is one of the most interesting people I have ever met in my life, more active than most twenty year old people. He was one of the first people in the Jersey area back in the 30's with Harley sidecar that had a cast iron piston and crank that he replaced with aircraft parts and had one of the quickest bikes around. This a man who built his own seaplane and took off from his dock for years. He has an ice boat that he built a few years ago with a VW engine still at his house in running condition.
The best is the fact that he just finished a side car for his 80's Honda and is driving it all over town. I guess I am here to share someone with a passion for sidecars. I'm wondering if there is anyone near Hampton Bays N.Y. that would love to chat with Roy sometime. He's sharp as a whip and would love to go riding with someone that has a sidecar. This guy is like hanging out with 30 year old. Hope there's a enthusiast nearby that would enjoy meeting him.
