I am a fairly new sidecar enthusiast and would like to meet fellow sidecar folks. How do I become a member and where can I find upcoming sidecar events in and around the Texas area.

Thanks,
Glenn

Steve,
Thanks for your prompt reply...I e-mailed JR Lewis for some info, and also downloaded the application; I will get that off tomorrow. One quick thought. I'm looking to install/attach a DVD player in my sidecar for our young one to enjoy on some trips. Are you aware of any accessory like that on the market....

Thanks again,
Glenn Schuck

Glenn,

There are lots of portable units available. I've seen some at Sam's Club for less than $100. To keep things simple, I'd consider one of those. It would be easy to take inside on trips to keep the young one busy when not on the rig.

My daughter used to use a laptop to watch DVDs towards the end of the day. If you have a larger sidecar, I'll bet folks like Car Toys would love to set you up with something.

Thanks for the suggestions on the DVD issue. Our daughter will be 3 yrs in October and getting her used to wearing a helmut is a trick in and of itself. My side car is a Champion Escort so there is not a lot of extra space between her and the dashboard. I have equipped it with seat belts so that she is restained in the event of a sudden stop and to keep her safe. One other question...I am new at this forum...how do I post a pic of my unit?
Thanks,
Glenn

Pictures can be added three ways:

The best way is to click on Albums above, click on the line that says "Create and edit your photo albums" and follow the instructions there. Now, in your message just tell folks you posted to your Album. That way it's a lot easier for somebody to find it later.

You can also link to another website, for example,
Photos can be stored at http://photobucket.com
Under each photo you'll find three lines of code that magically appear when you upload your photo. Copy and Paste the line that says TAG into your message.

Or you can attach a file by clicking the link at the bottom of your message which can be a picture. The size here is limited so you may need to resize you pictures.

Hey Folks,

I am getting ready to put together a 2004 Honda ST1300/ EZS RX5 or Hannigan Astro Sport outfit.
I was told by Dave Kessee, a fab tech at Hannigan, that Bob Elder has this rig already put together. I was hoping to talk to him, and maybe see some pictures of his rig. Does anyone know what Bob's member name is online here?

Thanks,
Vince Silvera

Vince,

I will be glad to get you some information as soon as I return on Friday.
I have an 03 ST1300/Astro Sport with 37,000 miles on the bike and 25,000 on the chair and all I have done is replace brake pads. It is a very good rig. We are leaving to day for Colorado on it for a short vacation. Email me at bob-cheryl@cableone.net and I will sent pictures and other informtion you request.

Bob Elder
