Luggage rack on Hannigan Classic...

I wanted to add a useful sized luggage rack on my Hannigan Classic Sidecar. It had to be of relatively large size, stable and attractive. I looked at close to 100 different racks then found the ideal item.

The Harley Davidson Premium Tour Pak rack (part #53665-87) fits perfectly, offers a wide base for luggage, is easy to mount and looks like it was made for this purpose.

I had this identical rack on my Harley FLHTC and it's an excellent choice because of it's size and beauty. Mounting took about 30 minutes. I set it slightly towards the rear to allow for the trunk to open when the top is up. It also allows the front lip of the rack to slide under the lift section of the car to keep it open when loading items into the trunk.

(note:although the photos make the rack look slightly off center that's due to camera angle rather than the mount which is perfectly centered.)

Harley offers several different racks in different sizes that might be useful on other applications.

That does look good, and likely carries better than my old Honda item:

Nice find!

Nice. That looks like it was always meant to be there. I like how the tubing is stout. Sometimes the thin stuff looks cheap and flimsy.
