I have my R90/6 Ural combo covered with my other motorcycles by Rider which is written the GM Insurance. I have no collision or comprehensive on the rig because they won't offer it on a bike this old. Wondering who out there has coverage on an older rig. I have a lot of money in this rig, upgraded Motorad Elecktik generator and electrics, Perry Bushong triple tree, Jay Giese/Dauntless subframe, larger gas tank-painted and pinstriped by Bob's, BMW Auxillary outlets for electrics, and more. Motorcycles, not being logical purchases, I figure i have close to 10k in this rig. How do I go about insuring it for it's value?

Regards,

Shop around. Use the word 'customized' when you talk to them.

I'm happy with American Modern Home ( http://www.amig.com/) They listed the sidecar as an 'accessory' and have my rig insured for replacement value, since its a show bike as well as a daily ride. Pricy, but I think its worth it.

Progressive might be another choice. They brag about being motorcycle friendly.

I have my Spyder and T100 Bonneville insured with Progressive. I just carry a rider for the chair for the full replacement value. It's considered an acessory.
