Inauguration prep for Obama
If you enjoy some sidecars, then this clip at the posted link may be something interesting for you. I couldn't find any clips at YouTube, but go to this one and view it there. Unfortunately, the screen is a bit small, but you can at least see a number of the sidecars. Enjoy.

It goes to full screen when you click on the box on the lower right hand corner of the video.
That's a nice bunch of Harley-Davidsons.
As nice as it may be to take part in such commorable ceremonies, even if my Ural had a pee bottle the size of a 10 gallon jug, I'd have to opt out. Too far to decent priced food, too few toilets, too cold, too many people, too crowded, too far to a cheap hotel, too few gas stations to handle the fuel supply needed, too slow a parade to allow a Ural to run as cool as I'd prefer, too many rules to follow in not being considered a terror suspect and so forth. I suspect my Ural will be less likely to be bombed by any terrorist if is remains in my garage in Texas during this ceremony. The odds are in my favor and sitting around the tv in my undies and enjoying the climate comfort of my living room is too appealing to me in making me glad I'll opt out. Maybe in the future they will make an Obama commerative plate or coin with a picture of the sidecar motorcade behind him. I think that will be the only way I'd opt to remember such an event, as opposed to being there. 🙂
If anyone gets any better video clips of the motorcycles, please post.
With more than 3 million people expected for the big event, you'd have to have a death wish to go there. Imagine all of the stolen purses, shootings, stabbings, armed robberies and other similar happennings. The criminals aren't going to stop working just for Obama's inauguration.
Similarly, Sacramento had its first ever New Years Ball gathering downtown near the Capitol building. My son was working there as a police officer. He told me that were literally dozens of drunks, assaults, stabbings, muggings and shootings. More than 100,000 people in one place. No thanks.
Your best bet is to watch it on TV. I don't weant to see Oprah anyway. LOL.
i dont know about the rest of you but when big events take place either political or sporting the best place to be is somewhere else riding your rig while most of the car driving population are watching tv.
