gas mileage with Texas car

I took the America out today with Ranger on about 150 miles round trip 55 to 85 just a littel at 85 MPH. And I got 35 miles to gal. with my windsheild on 93 oct. gas I need to tune her up and clean the air cleaner I'm hopeing for 40 miles per gal.and need to check air in tires as well. Rudyr
