Contacting Champion??
Hi;Am having trouble with the web site for Chanpion! Both sites I have on my favorites come up with different things to the fact it is not avaiable??Though they were still around??Have wireing problem on my 2+2 none of running lites work, thought maybe they might have some idea? Not sure but all lites out on it yet trunk lite, backup and the solnoid for top all work? Also looking for maybe a tonneau for it too. Thanks!

There's a lady in Menomonie who will make you a custom tonneau cover but she needs to see the sidecar to do it. She once owned a business making boat tops and covers and still has sewing equipment(For Sale) and hardware. She's willing to do it until her equipment is gone. PM me for a phone number.
MIke;Thanks for the info!WIll contact you when get back from Sturgis.Getting an early start on it!
Don't bother trying to contact Champion Trikes!
They have dropped the word Sidecar from their name and tend not to respond to any questions from mere mortals or Sidecar owners.
Your best bet will be to post the year and accessories of your 2+2 and the same for the bike it's mounted on. Then perhaps one of the board members with a similar rig can help you trace your problem.
If you have an "Isolator" package, ie Relays to isolate the systems and minimize drain on your bikes light circuits, it will probably be associated with one of those Isolator Relays. If you have an old SymPro Isplator the relays can be swapped around to help find the faulty one and a new one bought at most auto parts stores. If you have a totaly sealed Isolator package that has all of the relays sealed in plastic then if the problem is inside you will have to replace the whole thing.
If there isn't an isolator package then suspect the connection from the sidecar harness to the bikes harness. With those cheap quick taps that Champion shipped with their harness the problem will likely be there. If not check the fuses and the rest of the harness both in the bike and the sidecar.
One thing I have found with my Escort is that the wires into the connector at the front hinge tend to brake due to excessive flex and have cut the zip-ties loose to allow for a less severe flex along with longer wiring at that location. That would only effect the front Running Light and shouldn't cause problems with the Tail Light.
If you have simple burned out bulbs the trick will be finding how the light housings are bolted in. On my Escort I had to rip out the carpet all around the back side of the housing's Fiberglass enclosure to find the screws that were put in before the carpet was applied and they can be anywhere the installer wanted to put them.
If you have lost the Driving Light due to a burned out bulb you will again have to rip out the carpet to find the wiring. On mine I found that Champion had simply cut off the connector on the end of the bulb and used a Crip type connector in the harness that made it impossable to simply plug in a new bulb because it was Hard-Wired in place and I had to redo their cheep wiring to let me use a simple spade or bullet connector depending on the bulb you choose.
Thanks Jerry!Sounds like you know what I am talking about!Yes in the left bag there is a whole bank of fuses etc they check OK.As I told Mike I am at Sturgis now and left the S/C info home but will look see what is in the bag I think that is what you are referring to.Like the way they put in wireing then glued carpet over everything, suppose they would say it protects the wireing!!Did ter loose carpet around rear lite assy.appearsa tohave been played with as some bolts missing otherees loose but again that seems to be mainly the lite itself. This car is probably a mid 90s model! The running, turn, tail, and stop are out!Backup trunk lite top button work.the lite oin car lacks a ground! Thanks for the info will take another look see if can ID what is in that bag k now there are about 5 rfuses and misc's items! Thanks!!

All you have to do is call the 800 number and talk to them. They designed their website around their top selling products. If you look at the top of their page at products and clck on the drop down it will show you sidecars, but you won't find any wiring info on their website, especially on an older sidecar, they tend to change things on them even with in the same year made. Call toll free is your best bet. 800-875-0949
