About 4 years ago, I bought a MZ Silver Star Classic, had a K75RT and R80RT BMW's. Just didn't ride the R80, let it set for at least 4 years, maybe longer. Found that each time I went somewhere, unless it was a really long ride, I took the rig. Tonite, I am proud to say, and quite amazed, that I took the R80, changed plugs, put light oil in each cylinder, installed a new battery, put it on the center stand and in 5th gear with no plugs, rotated the rear tire to turn the engine over 10-15 times, put the choke on full and in 3 revs, she started up, idled and ran like I just rode her yesterday; I am amazed. Aired up the tires and put 50 miles on just for old times sake. Love those Germans.
