A novel approach to bringing home your new rig

A friend stopped by to watch the game today and told me he just bought a Polaris Sportsman off of ebay and had to retrieve it from Missouri. When he got down there the U-Haul trailer he had reserved was not available.

After exhausting other options, in an act of desperation, he stopped at a local farm store and purchased a 6 x 12 trailer for $925. When he got home, he parked the trailer in the front yard and put a sign on it. He sold it a few days later for $800. My first thought was he lost $125 in three days. His take was that U-Haul wanted $309 for the trailer he had reserved, so he figures he earned $184, which covered his meals and put a big dent in the gas bill. :0)
