I just received an email from a novice sidecarist who asked that I read a paragraph in her state's Motorcycle handbook to see if I thought it was accurate. It was not only accurate, but about the most thorough description I've seen in a DMV publication.

Read pages 42 through 47. I know this is available in many places, but to find it in a DMV publication makes me feel good. This is the first place a beginner will normally look for help. It is a great start. Maybe other states will follow suit and accept the fact that we are here to stay. :0)
This is absolutely amazing. Very, very good, especially for the beginning side car driver. Wish every state would do this.
